Description: This breathtaking gold 1 Escudo cob is extremely rare and happens to be the finest example graded by NGC. It has the unique designation of being the “Top Pop”.  As you can see from our photos, this coin exhibits beautiful original luster, a well defined shield, Jerusalem Cross, and clear assayer B and “S” for the Seville mint. It also has many of the other design features that are often missing on similar gold cobs from this era.

Spanish gold cobs are highly sought after and this example is outstanding.
