Description: This is by far one of the finest Spanish 8 reales minted in Seville from 1556-1598. Coming in second finest known by NGC, this gorgeous coin will be a crown jewel for any Spanish coin collection. This coin is over 400 years old and still exhibits an abundance of mint luster and incredible details. It is extremely rare to find Spanish cobs in any denomination that don’t have environmental damage, haven’t been cleaned, polished, clipped, filed, or altered in some way.  As you can see in the photos, the shield, crown, legends, castles, lions, and cross details are breathtaking and the legend on the reverse is complete, which is almost unheard of. This coin is considered to be superb and in our opinion, it probably belongs in a museum.
