Description: This is one of the most interesting shipwreck coins we have ever acquired! This 1/2 real was struck close to 150 years before the famous 1715 Spanish Fleet was destroyed off the coast of Florida where it was found. This coin likely was a sailor’s pocket change and somehow ended up on the bottom of the sea after the wreck. The details are exceptional on both sides to this coin with clear full details very uncommon to find on 1/2 reale from this period. A true gem of a coin!
