Description: This beautiful 2 escudos is a spectacular example of one of the most popular strikes from the Old World Spanish mints. This example displays an abundance of original frosty mint luster, complete and boldly struck Hapsburg shield, assayer and mint marks, and full cross on the reverse.
According to the NGC census, this specimen is the second finest known example, with only one example graded higher. The pictures simply do not do this coin justice; the in-person eye appeal is magnificent.
