Description: This stunning 4 escudos is a rarity in any condition! The cross side/reverse has a unique feature not seen on any other escudos from any other mint or time. The small boxes in the quadrants of the cross are to make up a smaller cross (read between the boxes), and is only seen in this period on the 4 and 8 escudos. This coin would likely grade a details grade due to the small scratches, but will make for an excellent jewelry piece. Overall a stunning example!
