Description: Here is a choice 8 Reales from the Potosi mint struck between 1626-1648, with a small bottom portion of a “162” visible at the top left of the reverse. With a thick planchet, strong strike on both sides, and beautiful toning, this coin is a choice specimen. Clear details can be seen on either side of this cob with a wonderful cross and castles & lions. This cob is one of 2 examples in AU-53, with only 3 graded finer in the NGC database.
