Description: Presented here is a choice Colombian 2 escudos minted at the Nuevo Reino mint. The unique trimmed planchet of this cob gives it a wonderful eye appeal! The full shield and partial crown on the obverse are a rare feature to have so centered and complete like this. The reverse has one of our favorite cross designs on any gold cob. A bold Jerusalem cross such as this are few and far between and a must have for any serious collector of Spanish Colonial treasure!
