Description: This a beautiful and rare 4 escudos minted during the reign of King Philip IV. This coin is a gorgeous specimen with a well centered and strongly struck shield on the obverse and Jerusalem cross on the reverse. Escudos from this time period are very tough to find and this one will make a wonderful addition to any collection of Old World Spanish coinage or gold pirate treasure!
