Description: This gorgeous Colombian 2 escudos pendant was designed by us here at Commodore Coins & Collectibles. Taking inspiration from jewelry coming out of the region from the 1600s, this piece has been designed to show off the emeralds that were so bountiful in the Colombian region at the time. The coin is a Colombian 2 escudos from the mid to late 1600s which were known for their crude strikes and minimal details. This coin most likely was circulated for a time before making its way to our hands to be set in jewelry. The bezel is made out of 18K yellow gold, with four green cabochon emeralds around the rim, and three faceted green emeralds along the bail at the top. The pendant is a wonderful piece fit for any collector! The chain is NOT included in this listing and is present in the photos for reference only.
