Description: This exceptionally well-preserved Mexico Mint 8 reales cob displays a well centered and detailed shield on the obverse, slightly visible assayer mark “P”, mint mark “M” for Mexico and overall texture of a coin recovered from under the sea.  The obverse shows a clear 1655 date. The reverse also clearly displays nice details around the Jerusalem cross with the castles and lions in the octolobe.

A very unique cob that is perfect for any collector of Spanish Colonial cob coinage or shipwreck treasure!
