Description: This is a unique specimen of a Spanish Colonial 8 Reales with three full dates; a feature rarely seen. Struck at the famous Potosi mint from silver extracted from the “Cerro Rico” or Rich Mountain. This coin boasts a beautiful strike that presents the mint mark, assayer, dates, and a clear reverse. This coin is the finest known piece from 1688 and the only example in AU-53, with none graded higher.
