Description: This well-preserved Potosi mint 1 real cob displays a beautifully struck pillars and waves on the obverse, partially visible assayer mark “VR”, mint mark “P”, and I real denomination marks. Partial legend can be seen on both sides. Castles and Lions on reverse are nicely struck, and a double date of 89 for 1689 can be found on both sides. A beautiful piece perfect for any Spanish Colonial collector!
