Description: This is a beautiful example of a double dated 1691 Potosi 1 real struck on a tear drop planchet. Small denomination cobs like this are extremely rare as most were melted down and converted to traditional Spanish coinage or lost to the sands of time. This finest known about uncirculated example still displays some of its original mint luster from the day it was struck.
