Description: A large rectangular 8 reales found on the east coast of Florida by a metal detectorist after a storm, then conserved to show it’s details. While there obviously is no paperwork for this piece, it is highly likely from the 1715 Treasure Fleet that sank along the coast over 300 years ago. The coin has much of its original details still, including the crown, 8 denomination, full cross and the castles/lions. The piece is a total weight of 29.9 grams. A must have for any shipwreck and treasure enthusiast.
