1700-1732 Mexico 8 Reales Pendant in 14K Bezel

Item #CC-0832 | 1700-1732 Mexico 8 Reales Pendant in 14K Bezel
Mint: Mexico City
Ruler/Period: King Philip V
Grade: Jewelry

Description: This is a fantastic example of a Mexico 8 Reales struck between 1700 and 1732, making it amongst the last coins struck at the Mexico mint in the “cob” form. The years following, coins were struck in the milled dollar type.

This coin is an elongated shape, a shape that is in the same style of the thin silver bars the coins were cut from. Each of these coins were cut to weight, the shape did not matter as long as they were struck properly with the designated dies of the mint.

We had this coin expertly wrapped in 14K yellow gold and it is ready to be worn and enjoyed. No chain is included in this sale.
