Description: Here is a really nice 1/2 real recovered from a shipwreck that has a small hole at the top from where it may have been worn as a pendant. We believe this coin has been misidentified as this die variety and assayer are more consistent with Diego de la Torre designs from the late 1500s. Nevertheless, this coin is a wonderful example of a coin that survived being under water for possibly hundreds of years. With strong visible details on the obverse, and a stunning cross side reverse, this coin is a gem.
