Description: The 1/2 real was the smallest denomination of silver coin produced by the Spanish Empire during the time. This particular 1/2 real is a highlight gem with an impressive AU-55 grade that places it at the finest known specimen from 1729. The obverse displays a full 1729 date, as well as a gorgeous full crown. On the reverse, this little 1/2 real has a nearly complete cross with castles and lions clearly visible. To find a full date on a Mexico minted 1/2 real cob is quite rare and a choice piece for any collector.
