Description: A very interesting pillar type from the Mexico mint with a US counter stamp on the obverse. We are unsure of the origin of that stamp, likely done sometime in the 19th century, and would make sense as Spanish silver was accepted across the United States as legal tender until the 1840s. Very cool piece for any collector!
