17th Century Mexico 4 Reales Silver Pendant
Item #CC-0298 | 17th Century Mexico 4 Reales Silver Pendant
Mint: Mexico City
Assayer: NV
Ruler/Period: King Philip V
Grade: Jewelry – VF/XF coin
Description: This unique pendant highlights a Mexico 4 reales cob from the early to mid 1600s in a heavy silver bezel and a 14K gold bail at the top. The strike and variety of the visible cross is indicative to examples struck under Pedro Becerra at the Mexico mint between 1634-1655, which leads us to believe that is the date range of the coin. On the reverse of the pendant, a beautiful silver Spanish Galleon is fixed to the mount. A wonderful and unique piece of Spanish treasure.
