Description: Looking for a small pendant with amazing history? This stunning 1/2 real was struck at the Potosi, Bolivia mint sometime in the early years of the 17th century, then lost to time along one of the many mule trails found around Central and South America. Being the smallest denomination typically circulated around the New World, 1/2 reales were often lost due to their small size. This coin was found by metal detectorists in the last few years along one of the frequented trails the Spanish carved across the New World to transport their vast wealth back to Spain. The coin is wrapped beautifully in a 14K yellow gold bezel and is ready to be worn and enjoyed. The pendant comes with a Certificate of Authenticity as well. No chain is included in this listing.
