Description: This beautifully preserved and choice uncirculated 1908 Indian Head Cent is graded by NGC as Mint State 63 Red. It boasts dazzling cartwheel luster and superb eye appeal.
This U.S. type coin is part of a series of Indian head cents that were minted from 1859-1909 and this one was struck at the Philadelphia mint.
The obverse of the coin displays a Native American Indian chief wearing a headdress with a headband that says “LIBERTY”. Surrounding the Indian are the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and the date at the bottom.
The reverse of the coin displays a shield at the top and a wreath with three arrows tied together at the bottom with a bow. At the center of the wreath are the words “ONE CENT”.
This coin is a wonderful example of an original choice uncirculated Indian Head Cent and would make a fabulous addition to any U.S. type set.
