Description: This exceptional 1 real silver cob minted in Mexico is a superb and very rare example. Precious few of these smaller denomination coins survived and this one is over 400 years old and remarkably in almost uncirculated condition. This coin boasts a complete shield on the obverse with assayer’s initial, mint mark, and much of the legend. The reverse displays a beautiful full cross with brilliant luster shining around the castles and lions, as well as much of the legend.
This is a superb specimen that will compliment any collection of Spanish colonial or early Mexico mint coinage!
