Description: This well-preserved Spanish Colonial 8 reales cob minted in Mexico displays a well centered and nearly complete shield on the obverse, boldly struck assayer mark “P”, and mint mark “M”. The reverse is well struck and the castles and lions are nearly complete.  This style of cob is very similar to that of the many found on the wreck of the Concepcion.

This cob is a perfect piece for any Spanish Colonial cob or shipwreck treasure collection!
