The coin was most likely recovered from the ATOCHA or the sister ship MARGARITA 1622 but unfortunately can not be verified.

MINT- POTOSI, BOLIVIA

ASSAYER- Most likely B/R, struck c. 1617

DATE- c. 1617

REIGN- PHILIP III (1598-1621)

GRADE- I

COIN WEIGHT: 6.7 grams.

TOTAL WEIGHT: 11.6 grams.  Total Gold Weight = 4.9 grams.

NOTE: The gold work is very well accomplished.  The bail is incorporated with the starfish.
