Description: This is a superb example of a Spanish 4 Reales recovered from a shipwreck. Rarely will you find a sea salvaged Spanish silver cob with about uncirculated details and with such a great strike! This coin displays a full shield on the obverse with a clear denomination, mint mark and assayer’s initial. On the reverse, you can see a well centered cross with the castles and lions within the quatrefoil. The overall eye appeal of this coin is superb.

According to the NGC census, this is the only specimen they have graded of this series in AU details, so to say it is rare is an understatement.

If you are a collector of Spanish cobs or shipwreck treasure, this coin will be a stand out in your collection!
