Description: This beautiful and rare 1690 8 reales is a superb example of a silver cob minted at the Spanish colonial mint in Potosi, Bolivia. According to the PCGS database, this coin is the finest example ever graded, which makes this coin a very rare piece. The coin displays much of its original mint luster, a double “90” date, a well centered cross, and the assayer’s initials. You don’t come across Pieces of Eight very often with this eye appeal and character.
