Description: This well-preserved Spanish Colonial 8 reales cob displays a well centered and nearly complete shield on the obverse and a partially visible assayer mark “P”. The reverse displays a well centered Jerusalem Cross with the castles and lions partially visible.  This style of cob is very similar to that of the many found on the wreck of the Concepcion. This coin also displays nice original toning and a very unusual and neat looking shape!

This cob is a perfect Piece of Eight for any Spanish treasure collection!
